If you liked card reload before, you'll really like the new improvement we've made to the reload process: Now, if you place card reload only orders and pay with PrestoPay™, we will automatically process the order overnight with no effort on your part.
That's right, GLSC will bill you, reload the card, handle all the paperwork, place the appropriate deposit in your organization bank account, and leave a documentation trail on shopwithscrip.com for your reference.
With our original launch of reloadable cards, the activation process began when your coordinator released the order. For example, if you placed a card reload order on Monday afternoon, and your coordinator didn't release the order and import it into glscrip.com until Thursday morning, the card wouldn't be reloaded until Friday. While that was more convenient than waiting for a new physical card, it still wasn't fast enough as far as GLSC was concerned.
Here's how the new system works: When you place an order for a reloaded card only (with no other physical gift cards on the order), and pay with PrestoPay, the reload will take place no later than the next business day. Generally speaking, any "reload only" order placed before 3pm Eastern Time will be activated by the next business day.
There are just a few simple qualifications for "overnight reload":
- The gift card must be a currently available reload card - and it must be a card purchased from GLSC . We're adding new retailers to reload all the time. Reloads are currently available from Starbucks, The Gap and CVS/pharmacy.
- The gift card must be registered at shopwithscrip.com - it takes just seconds to register a card, and you can easily register the card just before you purchase a reload.
- You must pay with PrestoPay™ - Our online payment system allows us to speed up the activation process.
- Your order must be for reloads only - if you combine a reload order with a physical card order, the reload process won't begin until your coordinator releases the physical card order, too. Tip: if you are placing an order for multiple cards, and you also want to quickly reload a card, just place a separate order for the card reload.
- The actual time of reload depends on the individual card activator and the exact time of day the customer places the order.

JCPenney and Great Lakes Scrip are pleased to offer a 1% bonus contribution from Saturday August 30 through Friday September 26, 2008. That means JCPenney gift cards will have a 6% contribution instead of the normal 5% contribution during that time period only.
JCPenney is one of Great Lakes Scrip Center's most popular retail partners, offering clothing for the whole family, jewelery, gifts and home decor. Popular JCPenney brands include Arizona, Cabin Creek, Chris Madden and St. John's Bay.
We have recently learned that Sheetz has temporarily run out of $100 gift cards. As a result, we will temporarily offer a Sheetz $50 gift card until the $100s are back in stock.
The $25 denominations are unaffected by this change and are still readily available.
Great Lakes Scrip Center has recently learned that Mrs Field's Cookie Company has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. A Chapter 11 filing gives a financially-troubled company court protection while it reorganizes its finances - in most cases a large number of stores will remain open while other less profitable stores are closed during the restructuring.
According to Mrs. Field's officials, the company is "committed to supporting our franchisees as they continue to serve our customers. This Restructuring will allow us to become a stronger company and to further improve our relationships with our franchisees and customers."
The timing of Mrs. Field's announcement comes when we have plenty of Mrs. Fields on hand. We would like to reduce our inventory of Mrs. Field's Cookies, and we are offering this inventory on a 50% bonus clearance sale. GLSC offers Mrs. Field's certificates in $5 denominations.
If you have Mrs. Field's locations near you, this is an excellent opportunity to earn a significant bonus as long as you can use the certificates in the near future. We have recently learned that Bennigan's has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection. At the same time, Bennigan's has been suddenly closing stores across the US.
As a result, we have suspended sales of Bennigan's gift cards until we can learn more. We will advise our customers when we have more information.
Please note...GLSC will be discontinuing the Jack in the Box $15 gift card and will be carrying a new $10 gift card once the $15 denominations are gone.
